DCON Setup Pics and Live Stream Tomorrow!

DCON Reveal #11 - 'As Above, So Below' Dunny

I had alot of fun with this one and I'm super happy with the outcome. Named from a line in a Mr. Bungle song which I'm sure came from some obscure text buried in a cave somewhere, 'As Above, So Below' is a custom Kronk Wingnut Dunny with clear arms. This guy tells a simple story which may differ for each person who views it. Well at least that's what I'm hoping. Thanks for looking!!!

DCON Reveal #10 - Misguided Owl Dunny

Here is the second reveal of the day... 'Misguided Owl' custom 3" Dunny. Painted with acrylics, airbrush and the arms were sculpted with resin. And it's a one-of. Just like everything else, it available at booth #324. DCON is in two days!!!!!

DCON Exclusive Print - "Fringe Parable"

So many customs, why not some new prints? Called 'Fringe Parable' and measuring 8" x 11", these are limited to 30 and will be available at the Spanky Stokes booth #324 for only $10! They come signed and numbered and are printed on 200gsm acid free matte paper. Also look out for a few of these being given away throughout the day!!!

DCON Reveals #8 & 9

Since I've been lagging the past few days here are two reveals, and i'll do two more later on today. First is "Fringeboy" custom 3" Dunny (above) and "Oh No, They're Here" custom Oh-No Sushi (below). Available @ the Spanky Stokes booth #324!

DCON Reveal #7 - 'Temperance' Koibito

This is one of my personal favorites of the DCON bunch so far and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Called "Temperance", it was done almost completely with airbrush except for the eyes and the spiral. Check back tomorrow for another reveal!!

DCON Reveal #6 - 'Petulance' Steven the Bat

This one was done on the old steven sculpt which I love. His name is "Petulance" and was painted with acrylics and some airbrush. I reinforced and re-sculpted the feet so this one doesn't have the falling problem like every other steven in the world. Maybe I actually weighed him down so he can't fly :) Tomorrow's reveal will be another koibito!!!!

DCON Reveal #5 - 'Euphoria' Koibito

This is the first of two koi's... called "Euphoria" and is painted with acrylics. The egg staff is made with resin and is unpainted in the pic, but will be finished in a few days. This is one of my new favorite platforms and if you want a koi commission PLEASE contact me, they are rad and really fun to paint! I'm also going to start stepping up the reveals, so there will be one a day now instead of every other day. Can't wait for DCON!!!

DCON Reveal #4 - 'The Monochromatic Abberation'

Here is the next reveal... based on my CTU Assassin's Series 1 Chase "The Chromatic Abberation", this one is aptly named "The Monochromatic Abberation" and is a one-of painted with acrylics. Slow Reveal of DCON Customs Starts Today!

DESIGNERCON is about 2 1/2 weeks away, so every other day leading up to the convention i'll be revealing a new custom! They will all be available at the Spanky Stokes booth (you can't miss it) during DCON in Pasadena on November 5. Here is a list of what i'll have available:

Collision 8" Dunny

I'm just now realizing how bad I am at keeping up my blog, considering NYCC is over and I'm just now posting this custom. So I'm gonna try and post something every day, no matter how mundane it may be. Anyways..

This is "Collision"... a custom 8" Dunny done for the trampt.com booth. It didn't sell and will be available in my store soon or you can contact me here if you wanna jump on it now. Painted with acrylics and some airbrush, and it's a one-of.

The Spastic Zoomorphs - Two Colorways and an 8"

These little guys are ready to take over! Combination fish-yeti-bear-bull-bird! Still one regular colorway (right) available in my store along with the 8" companion, and there will be a few NYCC colorways (left) coming soon. Both are editions of 4... painted with acrylics and with resin tails. 

Custom 8" Dunny - Deus Flammarion

This one was done to match a 10" Mad'l I did a while back. Called "Deus Flammarion" and painted with acrylics and spray paint, it's inspired by the French author Camille Flammarion.

The Spastic Zoomorph 3" Dunny - NYCC Colorway

Here is the second colorway of "The Spastic Zoomorph" custom Dunnys, available only at NYCC 2011 @ the Trampt.com booth #981 and limited to only 4! I will also have other customs and prints there as well, and i'll be posting up the exclusives in the next few weeks. And if you haven't checked out trampt.com yet then you are missing out!!

The Spastic Zoomorph 3" Dunnys

This 3"er was done in the same style as my custom Bill the Yeti of the same name. Limited to only 4, painted with acrylics and a tail made of resin, they will be available in my store on October 7 @ 12pm PST.

Also lookout for a inverted colorway (above right) available at NYCC this year, and there is rumor of an 8" version dropping on the same day....

Custom Dunny "Lazarus Go Home"

Well I've been lagging on my blog posts this month so it's time for a few updates. Got some great shows coming up and also a few canvas paintings in-between the customs too! First up is another custom Chuckboy Dunny; "Lazarus Go Home". Painted with acrylics and some airbrush, this was a commission and it was inspired by the novel "Naked Lunch" just like all my other customs on this sculpt. The collector wanted a combination of all my Neon Imposter Dunnys in one, and this is the result!

This one also came with a custom wooden box to match:

CTU's Assassin's Series 2 Full Reveal

CTU Assassins Series 2 Qee Preview

3" Custom Dunny - 'What Came First?"

Here is another subber dunny, the full title is "What Came First? (The Circus or the Egg)". It was inspired by Mr. Bungle's first album and of course Dali. The story of the egg goes back to the 1300's, if anyone is interested in hearing it just ask :)

One brush to rule them all...

This brush has seen thousands of hours of toy and canvas time so i figured a salute was in order. For 12 hours a day this brush is in my hands or behind my ear. Robert Simmons 10\0 liner, you are my best friend. And also a munny teaser in the back :)

3" Custom Dunny - 'Where's My Victrola?'

So this guy was really fun to make... I LOVE the circus and clowns, and a re-occurring them in my art is a burning circus. Well this little fucker is one of the clowns who started the fire! He might look cute but he will burn your house down with you in it, and walk away with his happy little grin. His other clown accomplices are somewhere out there just waiting to surface...

This guy was inspired by the twisted mind of Alejandro Jodorowsky and his film "The Rainbow Thief". More pics below!
